5 CHARTS REVERBNATION TOP UK EVERYTHING PIX (MARCH 30)

will not be televised

I have been a bit ill and haven't had an opportunity to post for a week or so, but I have been still been snooping and gathering info on whats moving and shaking in the RN scene.

Here are some fresh, fast and now in the global charts on ReverbNation as it stands.  I don't care about the number of fans you have, rank or how many likes; just the quality, approach to music, attitude towards marketing, design, representation, and most importantly your artist mindset.

Not in order of chart position.

I hear this as a heavy sub bass driven ghetto tech – horrorcore slow pitched vocal killa swag kinda track. You cut and romp the lyrics in this.

You repeat the vocals, and use dramatic orchestra stabs at the end of your bars.  You seem to like using those, though I haven’t heard the original ‘SWAG,’ I have heard GANSTA and you use stabs in there as well.

In terms of the instrument I think the vocal lead acts like a sawtooth synth itself, takes up the mid range that’s why the sub-bass layers lower end efficiently almost like a kick drum 808 style. You may have put the vocals through various filters, that allows it not to get boring while its repetition could even get little addictive.

Your track GANGSTA is dirty south I think this one too is done in the southern style.    The bpm is slow but has enough going on within each bar.

Is this meant as part of a mix-tape?  Would you suggest I listen to the original SWAG to truly appreciate how you affected it?  Would you agree that on the main this is a bop-along vocal mix track the likes of a b-side to a single that hides behind or supports the main track?

Instruments:  808 sounds, re-use of vocals – bass efficient
Ideas: not trying to do too much other than use the vocal in with effects and different pitches
Mix down: Yeah, I think this was panned properly, enough going on at the left right, bottom and top sonically.

ARTIST: MR COCKTAIL 1

REVIEW:  YOUR LOVE PRODUCTION BY MR COCKTAIL 1

Starts off like an old school demo track from the cute lead singer of Evanescence with unaffected or dry vocals done with the pace of Example's Changed The Way You Kissed Me where you now that as soon as the vocal ends there will be a beat-drop.

Here instead of a beatdrop we are treated to acoustic low bass guitar and on one layer and distorted electric going wild on the other.

The electric guitar riffs is soft-rock Bon Jovi 90’s or the like the theme song from Melrose Place (you know you watched it). But this isn’t soft rock.

And when the lead vocalist finishes saying ‘falling down, falling down,' it goes into an guitar centric break where the blues guitar repeats itself over, and over where you think at the end of the forth bar it would maybe raise an octave or go into hyper-drive but instead it goes out like a whimper to some unexpected industrial like pounding with guitar reversals and mayhem that leaves the vocals in no mans land.

Here is the track once more: Mr Cocktail - Your Love Production

Instruments:  good choice, unusual arrangements, mix of genre usage
Ideas: sparky
Mix-down: a bit light on the low-end except for the low acoustic bass at the beginning especially near the end it’s more of a mid-hi range affair.

Do I want to listen to more cocktail_1 stuff in the immediate future? Sure why not, just need to clear out some ear wax after so many warbling guitars.
